Organic produce delivered to your door…

Well your post box to be precise…

A couple of years back I discovered CROWDFARMING. It’s a brilliant concept. You order fruit, veg, parmesan, olive oil , dairy products, condiments, cereals and the like from a well designed website / app direct from European small scale producers.

Everything is organic and seasonal.

Prices are really reasonable given the quality involved and if anything happens to your delivery en route (there were a couple of la poste cock ups when I moved), they have a no quibble refund policy.

Customer service is excellent and the fresh produce that I have tried has been amazing.
Best of all by supporting small scale European producers, I get to eat avocados without feeling guilty about food miles or handing over money to cartels.

The avocados were such good quality that almost all self seeded in the compost and I now have a load of avocado plants. And yes, I need a greenhouse as they are outgrowing the sitting room!

And they were all delivered ready to start ripening and by keeping them in the fridge until we were ready, we had zero waste.
Oranges, lemons and citrus fruits have all been superb too.
The produce arrives in a box designed to fit in the postbox which can then be reused.

Here’s a link - I highly recommend it!

I love crowd farming - their citrus fruit is really good and the mangoes have been wonderful, much to our surprise here too the avocado stones sprouted in the compost! I usually get together with a couple of friends and get a big box of deliciousness.

I’ve been getting their newsletter for a while, but gone no further. However, you’ve prompted me to look again at their website and I think we’ll try some mangoes and avos. My wife complains that neither seem to taste as good in Europe (we’ve found something to agree upon!) but maybe straight from the producteur there’s a difference, so we’ll give them a try.

We recently bought a Spanish mango from Biocoop which was good, much better than the ones from far away.
