Pesky Cluster Flies

I’m sitting at my desk, keeping cool as best I can and sharing my space with what I think are cluster flies. Certainly about that size. Only 2 or 3 at a time but they annoy me because the fly round my head and face and settle briefly on my bare shoulders and neck.

Any suggestions for anything that keeps them away please - I’ve got citronella plug-ins which are keeping off the mosquitoes but not the flies. I also have a fly swat, but no good for those flying around the back of my head and landing on me!

Have you tried a small fan to create air movement? Just a suggestion, not tried it myself.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have one of those Air Cube thingies that sit on the kitchen counter - sadly, the flies are undaunted.
