That’s way beyond me Graham. All I remember was it burnt so much to get to operating altitude it had just turn around and go home. Didn’t they try rocket assisted take off to try and conserve fuel?
The last Lightnings I saw were sitting on a hard pan as decoys. They were flown in, showed off for a week or so with a lot of noise, vertical take offs and the like before being parked, having their joysticks literally sawn off and left to fulfil their new role.
