The private equity giant targeting shareholders in their own homes. I had an email from Aviva about this, a US firm called Litani trying to buy shares directly from investors on the cheap and then sell them for a profit. I haven’t heard from them so far.
We could see a lot more of this as the rules on direct shareholdings change next year. I have a few ‘free’ shares that are just a pain really and I’m thinking it might be a good idea to sell now rather than do it when a lot of other people do.
