I have been using acquachek strips but I’m not sure how accurate these are. Can anyone recommend a water test kit which is not expensive. It’s for a chlorine pool.
I used to use a colorimetric test kit (Palintest maybe🤔), DPD 1 for the free chlorine and phenol red for pH . Once a week Aquachek 7 test just to have a look at the other stuff, but dip strips are very inaccurate
Dip strips are IMHO crap.
Palintest deal with commercial, they have terrible customer service.
Can ping over a link to a spanish dealer for other testers
It was just a simple colorimetric kit, might have been from somewhere else - I left the pool in the Creuse when we moved😉
I have been using PoolLab 1.0 and it seems fairly good, easy to obtain the refill tablets from places such as Amazon
They are on the PoolLab 2.0 now, quite a neat unit.
Take a look at Mercapool in Spain.
Yes nothing wrong with that DPD and Phenol red tester. Cyanuric acid tester is pretty critical to achieving a good pool as well, there are stand alone tests for that as Dip strips are pretty hopeless.
Yes please, if you can send me the link
Hi ykm71, its Mercapool just a couple of posts up.
Maybe I should come out of retirement 3.590 million pools I could help out
