Seems that France is catching-up with the UK… I know that used cooking-oil was sold for recycling, some 40+ years ago…

I wonder what the déchèterie does with the oil that they collect in their enormous tank. I take my used friteuse oil there but presumably it’s also for engine oil etc. Do you know if it gets recycled?
I’m not sure Mandy, but I seem to remember some was processed/filtered, to become cheap lubricating oils, and a cement/chemical factory I worked in (long ago), burned it in a huge rotating kiln/crusher.
