Reglo Mobile registering SIM issues - Is REGLO any good?!

If you have no network it will not work and is not much use to you. However if you go out and find a signal, the SMS should pop up.

My signal often drops out and will transfer from aerial to aerial. The Reglo, I didnt know was SFR, who previously had zero signal in the whole village so will take a closer look but my UK Lebara sim swaps between free france and Orange EE. Free always has a good signal but Orange EE is poor due to aerial position relative to our house.
If David is on a fringe area of reception maybe a drop out of signal when he checks. Moving outside or to a different position may help?

Perhaps, but I always make the call from the same place in the house and immediately after I have successfully done the same on my own phone. Very strange.

Such are the vageries of wireless tech.

No network - anywhere! I traveled from Carcassonne to Toulouse- nothing - I’m sure it’s a duff SIM. That said, I’m less than happy with customer services - about as much use as the proverbial chocolate fire guard. I think I’m going to abandon my plan for a Reglo contract as I think I’ve just about exhausted my patience and that of my determined French neighbour who took over when I failed - and he was like a dog with a bone! Thanks everyone for your support and advice, but it has come to naught. I think I’m going Orange…(my wife says ā€˜I told you to go with them in the beginning!’)

If it is a duff sim, for the little Reglo charge I would try again with a cheap Reglo package which you can always upgrade later but via ELeclerc shop.

Sometimes a call incoming from another phone will keep it going even if it’s not stated

Very true, but in this case the OP hasn’t been informed of his phone number and he can’t make calls on it. Catch 22…

Do the staff when you phone REGLO speak english ?

I was impressed at the quality of English spoken by their Service Technique agent. Her switch into English was welcome given the difficulties I was having understanding APNs and roaming in the UK . I obviously can’t confirm that all their agents can, and will speak English, but generally I’ve been impressed by their service when calling.

Did you ever sort this out? A friend of mine just bought a reglo sim and wasn’t given a phone number. She’s tearing her hair out trying to get it sorted. Any suggestions? thanks.

Stick the sim in and get them to message you.

Never did. Kept trying, no luck with emails so I just took one for the team and binned it. Have tried VYKE e sim. Works OK but if you try to register on Le Bon Coin you are likely to be banned (my brother in law was).
I know others have had good experiences with Reglo, but I’m afraid I’ll have to give them nul points.

The phone number for my Reglo mobile sim was on the card it came with, the breakout plastic part. Previously I have forgotten to make a note and sent a message to my other phone to get the number. Alternatively you can tap in 6772 to get your number sent in a message.

Well I did all that and got absolutely nowhere. I thought my French was confusing someone at Reglo, so I utilised some very tech savvy French friends who went through the process with a fine tooth comb. Still no luck. It’s all very well and good asking them to send you a message, but when the sim doesn’t connect to a network - anywhere - there’s clearly a problem, which Reglo failed to acknowledge and refused to send a replacement. I know I could have just bitten the bullet and paid for another and tried again, but for me their response didn’t exactly fill me with confidence. As I have said previously, others are very happy with the service they provide and hats off to them. Just didn’t work for me

Are you anywhere near a Leclerc store? If so head for the cultural centre and enquire about the phone desk. I did that recently and they were extremely helpful even putting the sim in the phone for me and testing it. :grinning:
