My permis 1ere Categorie allowing me to serve coffee and wines with dinner has expired and I understand it needs to be renewed every 10 years.
I contacted the CCI who informed me of this need to renew, and they tell me that it cannot simply be renewed but that I need to take a one day ‘stage’ at a cost of 300€. Has anyone else experience of this ?

Seems a bit steep. It will be interesting to find out more … I wonder if it is the same Course for all applicants, regardless…
For someone who is already proficient, surely, there can only be so much “new” stuff to learn… 
Perhaps there is a short-course that costs less (hope so).
