We were given a raw bone by the breeder for our Airedale teenager to chew. In an email to us she described it as a “rotule de boeuf / mammouth”. It seems a very sensible chew as it is a knuckle bone and there are no sharp bone splinters. She loves it and I am now looking to get another one, but I am somewhat confused by this word “mammouth”. Is this a brand name? The size of the beef joint? I had assumed I would just ask our local butcher for a rotule de boeuf but now I’m not sure.
Has anyone come across this and know what she was talking about please?
