Rugby-France v England

Good match going on at the moment, but i think the referee should have checked the colour of the new French kit, serious colour clash, both teams look as if they are wearing the same strip.

The shots from the overhead camera make it very hard to tell the two strips apart.

It,s such a bad colour clash,i have never seen one as bad as that.

When France proposed the colour, it was accepted without objection, apparently.

A wonderful game of rugby. France deserved the title but England deserved to win that game.

Well, England should have played like that earlier in the tournament, then they would have deserved to win - but France was a lot more consistent, so I’m glad they won because they desrved to win the tournament.

One of the commentators said that the shirt colour was related to a very old strip and a 10 sevcond shirt reveals…

Drawing directly from the history of the rivalry, the design of the match jersey - and its replica version - references the original light blue jersey worn by the French team in 1906 for their first fixture against England," said a French federation statement.
"The 1927 FFR logo adorned on the collection denotes the year of the French team’s first victory against England, while the ā€˜Tricolore’ stripes are a nod to the French rugby kits of the late 80s and 90s, when adidas was the kit supplier of the federation."

It is the home teams choice what their kit is. The arrogant away team chose not to wear their away kit. It is not the french who are to blame. But, a scan of social media, finds a deep problem in the ā€˜we woz robbed’ supporters.

That is correct, the away team should have worn their away kit(not sure i have ever seen the England away kit),but as stated,at the end of the day it is the referee who is responsible for checking that there is no colour clash,he obviously did not do that.

Having been at the game it was really good to watch and the atmosphere was great.
I was elected to drive and we got stopped at a pĆ©age on the way back and I was breath tested as the car reeked of alcohol from three very ā€œtired and emotionalā€ French men. I was fine and after dropping them all off at one house I went home.
I gave them an early wake up call at 07:00 thinking they would be hung over; they were still drinking.
