SAS registered to our property -- how do we get it removed?

I am in need of some advice and wondered if anyone could help.

We were in the process of leasing a commercial property and against our better judgement allowed the prospective tenant to register his SAS (new company) at the address. This was done because our Notaire insisted that we had no real option.

Agreements were made and we then waited for the draft lease to arrive - when it finally turned up there were all sorts of terms that we had not agreed to (including the right to buy with us providing a mortgage for the tenant and paying him back all rent if option taken). When we sent the lease back with amendments the new tenant pulled out.

Our Notaire is in black books and knows it but we are left with this company registered at the site and need to have the information changed. Any advice on how to do this would be most welcome.

Glad it worked out Bernadette.

Thank you John,

All sorted now. In this instance the words Gendarme and Fraud worked wonders Lease rewritten to our terms and all other parties know that we will not stand for any more underhand tricks.

Oh the joys of having your pension fund tied up in property!

Do you need to do anything Bernadette? Just return any mail that arrives for the company at your address. Since there is no lease and the guy hasn't moved in then your property (and you) have no connection with his business. It's all null and void. Isn't it?
