Same here in Texas; the ranks of grifting officials from State to Federal levels is never-ending. There is no point in sending any of them letters; I have in the past, and it is more annoying/insulting to get their patronizing responses - at taxpayer expense.
The only time my opinion would matter to any of my “representatives” would be if any were in any danger of losing a seat. That ain’t happening. They are all safe seats.

I am sorry to tell you that I wrote to our newly elected Labour MP concerning what was the then upcoming visit of Keir Starmer to the White House.
I had a very full reply and he promised to pass on our comments, with which he also agreed.
He also agreed that Brexit was a disaster for the UK.

Hmmmm… not sure that would work with my MP who (despite our efforts to unseat him) is former Chancellor and NHS-Mangler Jeremy Hunt. 
Despite being a Remainer in 2016 he was happy to serve in successive Brexity Tory Governments,
The man who put the final nail in the NHS coffin.

Agreed. Wouldn’t it be fun (if not so serious) if NATO without the USA suddenly announced it was aligning itself with China in view of Russia and the USA’s new power block. This in view of the juxtapositions of China and the USA in the recent anti Russian vote in the UN. 
Personally I have stopped reading Chinese ownership in the stuff I buy and have now turned my spending gaze westward instead. Still only joking, a bit.
