Hi @cat
Sorry to be a pain, just wondering about final details for next week.
Having looked at the website for L’Estacade the venue looks very nice. The group menu is shockingly expensive but I see they do a ‘paupers’ menu for €20 which I presume is the one you are negotiating.
Not being a wine or other alcohol drinker and having no sense of smell then that part of the event will pass me by but am looking forward to putting names to faces.
Will those who are attending get an advanced guest list or will it be a surprise.

Final details are - get there and enjoy!

The reservation is made for 12 noon but we’ll wait for stragglers!

Menu - they can’t let us know the menu de jour until the day so we will just have to travel expectantly !

Bill - gets split . I can’t imagine anyone is going to order and neck two bottles of champers by themselves but if this happens we’ll deal with it on the day

15, I now find that I can come after all, shall I contact them and say I am in the group of 15, now 16 or will that confuse them so say the original groupe of 12.?

GREAT! Yes please phone and explain - they can’t have that many groups booked in my name on that day! Xx

Unfortunately we’re unable to make it now. I have to attend a meeting on Wednesday and my holiday request has been revoked :frowning:

I hadn’t got round to contacting the restaurant yet, but guess I won’t need to now.

Sorry about that. Hope you all have a great time nonetheless.

I’ll do it in the morning.

OK done now, good job I am not superstitious though as I am number 13 on the list.
In a way a bit of a shame, because douze sur le douze a douze heures had a certain symmetry to it.
Sorry all.

We, Jules and I, will leave here at 9 for the 2 and a half hour journey. Got to try and find a place in the shade for my friend. Parking looks a bit grim on Google Streets.

We found shady parking fairly easily last time but that was a while ago…good luck x

I’d try on street parking first. As Cat says, there’s shaded parking if you follow the river along towards Darwin.

Worst case scenario there’s the Mégarama cinema which has underground parking. It’s about a 5 minute walk from the restaurant. They charge per 15 minutes… If you count on staying between 2 - 4 hours, it’s €0,60 per each 15 mins.

Lots of parking on Quai des Queyries itself by the restaurant (with trees) but Google Street View is from Aug 2020 so it may be busier nowadays!

You will be bringing Fran with you in spirit so we will be 14.

In that case 15 with J, not really, he will be guarding the car. :grinning:

I should be early enough to check the streets, otherwise the cine seems like a good idea, I’ll check it out.

It is easy to park here and take the tram:

here’s my parking space, right outside the restaurant:

Yes if you look across from the other side of the street it is empty but cross the road, virtually, the place is crammed. Fingers crossed in June there may be some spots. Plenty of shady looking trees though.

My point was that it is a dedicated motorcycle zone, it that isn’t clear from the screen capture.
