Share a ride from Paris to UK

Looking for transport; taxi, van, lorry etc. on Tuesday 27 January 2026 at 2pm. From CDG T2 Paris to either; Calais Eurotunnel or to London. 1 passenger, 2 small dogs and one large suitcase. Share expenses. TIA.

How will you manage Eurotunnel with 2 dogs? Depending on where you’re coming from you’ll need to stop off at a vet to get them wormed at least 24 hours before travel (and no more than 5 days). Do you have someone with a car lined up?

Why not just take the train? You’d load dogs and luggage twice only

I don’t think Eurostar takes dogs, Karen.

No lap dogs? Yeah you’re right istr seeing it’s “blind dogs” only

Sounds lke it’s train from Paris to Calais Maritime station or maybe Dieppe for Newhaven then London? A bit more hauling on/ off of luggage. I have no idea if loose dogs are allowed on the ferry though come to think of it.

I believe it depends on the ferry company whether ‘footies’ can have dogs with them.

I think aferry.co.uk has all the ferries. There are more routes than I’ve mentioned but Calais Dover has almost constant ferries so you’d reduce the risk of an overnight hotel cost.

No, it doesn’t unless service dogs. Eurotunnel does, but in a car. I think there is one ferry company that will allow a foot passenger a dog, but you have to haul a cage with you!

Things may be changing on the Dieppe/Newhaven ferry route. This recent link suggests that foot passengers can now take their dogs onto the ferry on leads rather than in travel crates. There is apparently a choice between 3 rather basic kennels and 3 dog friendly cabins. Access to the kennels appears to be somewhat “discretionary’ during the crossing…

I have to say that I’m not sure I would want my dogs to undergo this except as a last resort, but I guess there may be very little choice for those wishing to cross the channel as foot passengers with their dogs.
