I inherited some euro tunnel shares in 1997 or there abouts. A few years later they wrote to me and said that the firm was closed and that my shares were lost. Nothing I could do about it! I was not happy!
That sounds very odd…
the shares moved into another company… as far as I recall… currently under Getlink Group ???
Hang on to any paperwork you have… and make more enquiries… that would be my best advice…
This may help to explain
There was an option to transfer in or around 2007. If you did nothing then your shares will have stayed with TNU which no longer exists as was then merged with groupe eurotunnel (GET). At that point you might have been eligible for a cash indemnity - but could well have been so small that they judged de minimus.
It was Computershare Investor Services Plc who looked after these shares so maybe contact them if you held a lot of shares.
But if you actually have the paper share certificate then that might be worth more than the shares!
Thank you for your advice. I have kept the paper work.
Thank you for advice. I will look into it.
