Hello

After being here for the last eight days, I feel a low cost French mobile SIM only deal might be a good idea.

WhatsApp is okay but has been problematic, so I thought to maybe reinstate my old mobile number.

Firstly, Free is/are out of the question after the complete bollocks they made of taking money from my account.

Someone, therefore, reliable in a monthly debiting capacity, and not the completely unreliable and unpredictable incompetence that I have thus far encountered.

Lyca and Lebara (although I wouldn’t recommend Lebara) operate a pay in advance monthly package thing. Otherwise there are plenty of very low cost offers available have a look on a comparison site like www.monpetitforfait.fr or Forfait international : comparatif des offres pour appeler à l’étranger if you need to make regular calls to the UK or elsewhere abroad.

Remember to check network coverage especially if you live rurally

Réglo mobile seems pretty good for around €5

Do you have a current SIM with the number? You could then transfer it.

Otherwise the Lyca account that I’ve been using seems ok apart from the fact that it tells me it could not top up each month before topping up.

But the market is full of offers

NRJ (runs on Bouygues) does promos 1 or 2 euros per month. It seems pure top-up is quite hard to find?

I’m with Bougues. €1.99 p/m. It is bundled with an i/net package but may be available on its own. They seem a reliable company. They do have bricks 'n mortar shops as well as the usual online stuff.
