Six Nations 2025

I suspect there’s a few Welsh homes without a TV this morning.

What a good weekend of rugger so far, & if you’ve been following the -20’s looking like England are in for another GS

Italy v Wales well done Italy Gr8 game management. Wales now wailing, & 12th in the World rankings.

England v France well done England, France had an off day at the office, so many handling errors and giving away sooo many penalties. Good day for Young Finn Smith, B Earl, the Curry twins & E Daly showing why he’s still in selection.

England on a high after seeing off a match in fine fashion (though very much WIP & plenty to work on, especially defense in mid field, 10-12-13 channels) & France la moral dans les bottes aujourd’hui, mais çà ne dura pas plus long temps que un bon café et croissant.
Now can Scotland Jock off Ireland in Murrayfield sending Paddy home t’think again. Or Ireland going shoulder to shoulder, answering Ireland’s call, give the collective shoulder nudge to the Jocks, t’think again? :rugby_football: :rugby_football: :rugby_football: :grinning:

Ireland just too powerful for Scotland, didn’t help that they took their own play maker out but probably wouldn’t have made much difference.

Unsurprising really… Just the timing caught me by surprise.

I also think he’s only partly to blame, and the WRU has caused this crisis more than Gatland by not focusing on grassroots rugby.

That’d be a no :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Poor old Gatland should have quit when he was ahead.

Yeah, he came back to a right ol’ shambles & he’s not a magicien, as someone mentioned before the WRU has a lot to answer for so does Wayne Pivac for not building the player base and just resting mostly on Gat’s tried & trusted for his time.
It pains me watching Wales losing so as much as it did watching Italy doing so since the start of the 6N’s 26yrs a go.I’m hoping for a spark to reunite the Welsh dragon (just not starting with England )
There are only 4 teams out of 6 that have won the title in 26 yrs, Wales (small player base) have an impressive record. Dewch ymlaen Cymru!!! Maybe a Welsh man called Squidge can help with tactics https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=squidge+rugby

Great game between Wales and Ireland. Even if Ireland won, I think Wales performed brilliantly.

Not a fan of the 20 minute red card rule though. A red card should mean red for the entire match.

Well the Wales Ireland match was a humdinger. Wales must be pleased, honour restored, but poor old Gatland must be sick.

Yes, Wales much improved. I think the new reviewed red card system is a good idea. Of course no one comes back after a straight red .

I’d tend to agree with you but given ticket prices (and access) it’s hard on the crowd if the match is in effect over. It’s the player that needs to be punished, not the fans.

Hmm I hadn’t actually considered that angle before.

England defence looking very porous

They plugged the gaps in the 2nd.
Belle defense anglais à la fin

That was an exciting finish😲

Now that was a great Calcutta cup! A right ol’ scrap.
2 great teams.

Blimey that was close!

Unlucky Scotland…

Nothing to do with luck today, the more determined side won

I would have named man of the match to F Smith, good in defense, game management takes the ball to the line when things are on & nailing that last kick from over half way, I was surprised that Daly wasn’t called to kick.
Edit: he’s only 22 yrs old. Maybe up for a Lions selection?
