Dunno if you guys have been following this story but Ireland has been incredibly devious / very smart (delete as appropriate) over the red card for Garry Ringrose during the game against Wales.
The initial 6 match ban was halved as he pleaded guilty, then reduced from 3 matches to 2 as he will attend the tackle school… but that still would’ve meant the end of his Six Nations.
So Ireland sent an email to Leinster after the Wales game, to say they were releasing Ringrose from the National team so that he could play in their game against Cardiff. This, of course, meant that 1 of his match bans was applied so not only did he not play against Cardiff but he’s now eligible to play in Ireland’s last game of the Six Nations.
As you’d imagine, the FFR queried this - not least because Ntamack also picked up a red card himself when playing Wales but wasn’t allowed to use a domestic game as part of his ban.
It’s a sneaky move but I can’t say I blame Ireland. However they’ve clearly hoodwinked the panel. I don’t think this will drastically change who wins this year, because he’s still suspended when Ireland play France, but the precedent has been set now.

Great game for France today even losing Dupont early on. Currently taking Ireland apart, but they did lose their best player during the warm up.

France defense fell asleep in the last 10 Sean Edwards should give the team a serious boll… telling off, points will matter next weekend.

Jumping over a player on the ground is not an offense… that wales try should have stood!

Poor decision. Wales played much better 2nd half but not good enough.
Last gasp try gives wales a couple of bonus points.
Well done Wales woke up in the 2nd and got the defense in shape. Scotland should have put that to the sword.
Big game next week for Wales and England 
Blimey, Italy have impressed me in the first half against England. Don’t think they’ll end up winning, but for them to only be a few points adrift at half time is some good going.
That Capuozzo guy is lightning fast and can just switch it up a gear in an instant.
Edit: OK, 6 minutes into the 2nd half and it’s all over bar the shouting.
I thought both teams played some very good rugby. Nice to see England running with the ball and not kicking at every opportunity.

Good England win, now 3 in a row. O Lawrence great loss in the centre that destablised the team in attack, but for a well read & deft kick from E Daly to put T Freeman into contention & a try. Freeman what a player great on the wing can play center, B Earle I’d have put him in at 13 after Lawrence went off & left Daly at 15, bought on M Smith @ 10 after 60 mins.

I’ve only just watched the disallowed try. Jumping over a player may not be an offence but that was jumping into a tackle which is and always has been.
Jumping over an opponent who attempts a tackle is illegal. In this instance the player was lucky as It’s considered dangerous play due to the risk of hitting the tackler on the head with boots, regardless of whether any contact is made. Normally a ref would be obliged to sanction the player in these circumstances, but he didn’t.
