I inhereted a 16th share of a rental property in the UK.
Only £250 a year,
for this amount do I still need to declare it in my French tax returns?
thank you

As the French Declaration is for total Worldwide Income, I would include it. ![]()
Thank you
In most cases, even small amounts of foreign rental income still need to be declared on French tax returns. France usually requires residents to report worldwide income, regardless of the amount. It may not result in extra tax, especially if taxed in the UK, but declaring it avoids problems later. A tax adviser can confirm your exact situation.
Also you would strictly need to declare in the UK as well, in case you are wondering - normally if its under £1000 and 100% owned by you you would not, but (a) as you are non resident and (b) as you have shares with other people this exemption does not strictly apply. Assuming you are a UK or EEA citizen you will not pay any tax on it but if you do not declare and HMRC start making enquiries you are potentially into lots of bureaucracy for no good reason.
Thank you
