Excellent if you could post anything you find re the attestation in case I get some from Amazon as opposed to the Brico. If they're 'foreign' the box probably wouldn't contain a sample.

Hi Val, apparently most of the detectors are supplied with a sample attestation in the box, I'm going to hunt one up for myself in the next couple of days, so I'll get back on what's in the box :)
The offical advice is to have at least two, one downstairs and one upstairs, they say they should be placed at "crosspoints" where smoke could come from several directions.
I'm a bit worried about will my roll-ups start the bleddy thing off !
Hi Ian, thanks for this. I knew about the need to install the detector but not about the attestation. Where/how do I get that or is it just a letter from me to insurers saying, "Yep, got one (or three)" ?
