Hi



I have a snake in the roof space of my barn between the wood underlining and the tiles. Any ideas how I might encourage it to move to a new home?



If shove comes to push I can kill it but prefer to trap it, how?, or make it understand it is not welcome.



Any help and advice would be appreciated

Hi Peter, what kind of snake is it? I am guessing it is a harmless grass snake which are very common, but even if it is a viper, you should not worry. Snakes are very timid and usually avoid humans unless provoked, so if you continue as if it not there it will mind its own business and probably leave of its own accord. It will need to find water and food at some point anyway.
