Solar plug and play

Is that a thing? Another rule I have broken, oh well who cares anyway and I still sweep my own chimney.

Technically, it’s developments under 5m² don’t need any approvals.

But do they need a declaration prealable?

No, unless it’s in a protected area or joined onto the existing house…

I built a large shed after we arrived here, then discovered the rule, so knocked it down.

I didn’t know I WAS in a protected area when I then built my four 5m sheds. I wouldn’t be surprised to find I am only supposed to have ONE but I couldn’t find that restriction.

If your house is in a group where ONE house is within the 500 metres, then your house is included even if outside the limit. Where does a group of houses end?

Also, it seemed I could build it several meters in height according to my understanding of the regs. (for pigeons, maybe?)

The French need to get a grip on themselves. Or rather, loosen that grip. It’s almost enough to make me support the Le Penn types…………..No, it isn’t, I’m joking.

Absolutely, you could barely fit a ride on lawnmower in a shed that size. Like you another rule I have broken and being 350m from some old church and a Chateau doesn’t make any difference when a new home was built not 100m from the chateau with all the things we are not supposed to do.
