Sterling shopping UK to France grocery delivery

I am keen to know if getting food delivered from the Uk is a worthwhile exercise , and this transport company does offer the service.

Why you may ask - hopefully to save money !!

so has anybody used the service and if so what do you think ?

Before anybody decides to give me a lecture on buying French food locally etc etc just remember that most of the French shops are full of foods produced / imported from the EU and beyond ..........

as i said its about saving my ££££££££££s well euros ! and therefore i would have more left to spend in the local fruit / veg market.

Thanks

Steve

I recently used this same parcel delivery service to send a box of clothes, miscellaneous food and stuff I had managed to acquire in six weeks in the UK that I realised would never fit into the two large suitcases, rucksack and shopping bag that I lugged on to the Eurostar and the TGV recently.

It was collected in UK by DPD and delivered in France four days later. Tracked service. very good. I wrote the directions of how to find our house on the side of the box and it was waiting outside the back door one morning when I got back from walking the dog.

We use a parcel delivery service for various bits and pieces, costs about 20 quid and is collected from my parents house and delivered direct to us, generally takes about 4 days door to door.

They take up to 40 kg and up to 140cm in length.

Compared to buying Easter Eggs here it was a bargain - although my kids are only 6 and 8 :-) Filled up the rest of the space with teabags, oxo cubes, kids clothes and so on.

Think 20% of items bought is a bit expensive though but I guess it depends what you buy.
