Like a B52, I always wonder how those giant bees can fly.
Ah. OK. Does that one have a yellow thorax, or is it just pollen stuck to it ? It’s definitely pollen stuck to the legs.

looks like one of the variety of carpenter bees (xylocopids)
big yellow shoulders

The carpenter bees that I am familiar with in Florida were black and blue.

As you can see from the various links… in the European lands there are many bees which fall under this general name… 
Perhaps they didn’t all make it to America
And if they did, probably immediately deported
