Stingers and how to recognise them

Like a B52, I always wonder how those giant bees can fly.

Ah. OK. Does that one have a yellow thorax, or is it just pollen stuck to it ? It’s definitely pollen stuck to the legs.

The carpenter bees that I am familiar with in Florida were black and blue.

As you can see from the various links… in the European lands there are many bees which fall under this general name… :+1:

Perhaps they didn’t all make it to America :wink:

And if they did, probably immediately deported
