I totally agree - thank you @cogarch , your tip-off has given me hours of pleasure watching what has become a classic series. . I wonder how you made this remarkable discovery? Credit also to the ICC for their decision to make this readily available, for free, to folks living outside the major cricketing countries.
Absolutely delighted that others have been able to share the pleasure this discovery gave me!
I seem to remember it was just a result of doing a search on Perplexity (AI alternative to Google) of how I could watch test cricket from France.
Yes thank you again, husband is glued to the test match as I write. Only slight surprise was when the vagaries of our Apple account suddenly switched to the cricket commentary through my airpods when I was listening to The Rest is Politics. ![]()
Has anyone worked out a way to mirror to the telly yet?
If you have a Chromecast, or a device that supports it, on the same Wifi network then you should be able to cast the web page to the device connected to the TV (or direct to the TV if it supports it natively). Other casting methods are available.
We haven’t tried a Chromecast app, but mirroring from ipad to Samsung Smart TV just results in a black screen. There seem to be quite a few apps in the App store, so not sure which one to choose.
Maybe log in to the site thru the tvs web browser
Thanks yes, will have a go at that.
For all my facetious remarks, I’m glad @cogarch 's post is giving so much pleasure.
Will the Ashes be available via this ICC feed also?
A very good question. I don’t see why not as other international test matches seem to be shown live on the site. But sports rights are a very arcane topic: I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
If past precedent is anything to go by, the last winter Ashes series was available on ICC - but at a cost of €19.99 for the series…
I can’t see TNT, who have bought the rights, amongst the current list of partner TV organisations on the ICC site.
