We get our French TV service via broadband as part of our Orange package. As part of a concerted effort to improve my French I’m trying to watch more French telly at the moment but it would be a lot easier if I could stop/start programmes and view them on demand. Is this possible with Orange? Ive also found a service online called france.tv which might do the job. Does anyone currently use this? Thanks
I have the newest UHD Orange TV box and it can definitely do all of the above. Pause, rewind, record, on demand etc. You may have to subscribe to something specific (I’m just thinking that with the likes of Sky / Canal etc you have to pay extra to get some of the more advanced features), I just got an offer from Orange so didn’t really specify what I wanted if that makes sense.
We have Orange TV, a livebox with fibre and a decodeur. I use the ‘enregistrer’ function quite a lot to record films and other programmes that look interesting. You can even record two progs at once. You don’t have to watch them straight away, and you have a fast forward/backward capability. I use that to skip any adverts on programmes I’ve recorded. I remember I rang Orange when we got the fibre, to ask for this service.
