Street Music

As for the latest batch which I listened to today, I really enjoy that kind of music and played all 3 to their endings.

But I remember back in my home town near Nottingham, in the pedestrian precinct there was a bench with a statue of a beekeeper attached which was often occupied by street musicians. But I really didn’t appreciate those with electric instruments which to my mind were way too loud and irritating.

I suppose that the reason I appreciated the YT versions above, was that I could set them to my own level of comfort.

I started this thread in 2021 soon after the Covid epidemic started, when I didn’t go out much.

I’ve not seen this man before but he appears to busk world-wide. Unbelievably he played in Kyiv Ukraine 5 months ago. Don’t know what to make of the crowd….some look like tourists, but can’t believe they are.

As to listening to music, I prefer earphones these days. Can’t remember if I’ve ever listened to street music in the raw, except passing by the occasional busker in the London Tube Underground, on the way to work, yonks ago…

He also played in Royan about 18 months ago. Only 25 minutes away from us.
The buskers we used to see in Hastings weren’t quite up to his standard!

I love Pink Floyd (though I can never resist saying ‘well obviously you do’ after the first line ) and I love Street music, but not this screeching electronic stuff in a public place.

In my home town near Nottingham there were always street musicians in the pedestrian precinct, but the only ones I appreciated, and donated to, were those who simply set up themselves with a guitar and an open case on the ground.

Those like this bloke who have a veritable factory taking up space and can blot out conversation for hundreds of metres should be banned, however talented they are.

Booo…!

Pardon? You’ll have to speak louder than that. :joy:

I love this street music. Watch for Toulouse and see what the chief of Twin Eagles thinks of headphones in the last clip
