Supplies of testing kits are on their way

Hopefully, those who need them will find supplies locally… eventually.

This Le Figaro article talks about supermarkets wanting to market lateral flow tests to get a wider distribution. Pharmacies usually only hold a small stock are often sold out. Some of the supermarkets already have kits they bought earlier as they were expecting to be part of the supply chain. They’d probably also sell them at cost price, so less than 2€, whereas the pharmacies charge nearer to 5€

We just (Wednesday) paid €5,20 each for two LFTs at our local pharmacy.

As I have previously posted, I could not find auto tests in pharmacies and our local pharmacy does not even sell them.
We are in deep countryside and cannot just go and get a test if we have any symptoms.

Luckily one of our friends that we have had lunch with today is a pharmacist, and brought everyone boxes of tests as a Christmas present!

Perhaps your Doctor can tell you what to do if you have symptoms and cannot test… just a thought… best of luck.
