Survive France Member Treks Sahara to Help Sick Kids

Hi all, I’m trekking the Sahara to raise money to help kids get through the everyday trials that treatment of cancer entails. I would really appreciate some support!!

Perhaps you have feedback or comments on fundraising in France. I’m searching for ideas to raise money for children with cancer and would love to swap stories…

I have a blog that I’ll be keeping up to date with quirky fundraising anecdotes and keeping a log of the actual trek which will take place after summer. Moral support would help me help the kids (although I wouldn’t say no to donations!)

If you would like to support me and the kids by following my blog, please click here: http://suzytrekssahara.blogspot.com/

I’m a first time fundraiser (!) so blog about the success, the hardship and the fun I’m having trying to get money out of people.

Here’s where you can support me and the kids with a donation that goes directly to the charity: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/SuzanneChampion

Thank you everyone!

Will keep plugging it on the site and via FB and twitter - every little helps!

ps twin 5 year old boys…how are you still sane!!!

Thanks Catharine - nice to hear a friendly supporting voice. Yes, thanks, do send on any ideas you may have that you think our friends the French will go for. I am doing a bake sale/auction in the summer months and am thinking of offering my services to my neighbours ‘sponsor me and i’ll do your ironing!’ kind of stuff. Hoping to get some funny anecdotes for the blog too… Talk soon and wonderful news to feature the blog - all helps. Keeps me creative too!

Great idea and how amazing you are to even be contemplating it - well done! I’ve just started following the blog and I’ll feature it in the newsletter.

I used to be a fundraiser so will have a think and see if I can come up with anything…don’t hold your breath though - brain is very addled these days! xx
