We’re moving permanently to France in June - my wife is an Irish passport holder so residency will be via her passport and a carte de sejour for me. Our intention is to spend the first six months in different regions of France to determine where we want to live, staying in AirBNB or similar. As such we will not have a permanent address for some time.
I’ve been looking at the short term tax free leases for cars and am trying to determine whether I would be disqualified or not. Effectively, if our intent is to become resident in France, then are we residents from day 1? If so, then we would not qualify for a tax free lease, even though we don’t have a permanent address. What have others done when needing a car for scouting trips?
