Has anyone heard of a new tax on UK pensions for french residents?
What I do know is that government pensions are not included in the double taxation treaty! I pay tax in UK on my military pension, I then have to declare what I have paid on our French tax return and they will decide if we need to pay any more!
Yes we haven't heard directly but through a colleague who has had 'the bill'!!! Don't know what it is based on or if it is on both state and private?
Yes, have heard but know nothing. I become eligible for a handful of small change this autumn which is so little that if it is taxed will make it enough for a couple of baguettes a week, roughly speaking. It is not only UK pensions, because I have another from an EU country that I could have had since 2008 but held in abeyance in order to get a bigger monthly payment as of this year and believe I shall now regret.
