That political discussion with occasional humour thread

I am truly gobsmacked. Not really.

I knew that the Russian banks had rescued Trump from bankruptcy, but not the extent of his involvement with the Russian Mafia .
It is small wonder that we are now seeing his debt being repaid at the cost to the free world and America 's position at its head.
The USA might just as well have Putin on the ballot.

If true, it would explain a lot.

In practice it no longer matters.

Democracy in America is lost, it won’t be back for a generation.

I thought the British were dumb during brexshit not knowing what to expect, but Americans must be dumber!

I marvel at all the reports of price increases and warnings of a recession that would immediately hit the rednecks and inbreds that voted them in! I read a report of a car dealer warning his customers of price rises, and has now jacked up the price of an $80k Dodge RAM - the aspirational truck of a Trump voter - to $100k now :grinning:

There’s nowt as queer as folk…

I like how in this post by @Stella

The French word ‘Tromperie’ translates in English as ‘deception’:thinking:
I hadn’t come across the French word before but thought it very appropriate.
