Unfortunately, many Americans seem increasingly to perceive satire and ironic pastiche as actual news - eg. the recent re-posting on 'Truth(!) Social of the Trump Gaza spoof video. No, I won’t add a link - it seems too close to a future reality!

It’s interesting that the base wine that Champagne is made from is sour tasting. If you ever try it it will shock you. It’s the second fermentation and process that makes it taste as it does. It was basically produced in order to make the almost undrinkable local wine palatable.
