The eclipse of the sun, Meteor shower

Good afternoon.

I was just wondering if anybody else was really looking forward to the Eclipse of the sun, followed by the light show in the Northern skies with the Perseid meteor shower after?

This is my second Ecipse of the sun. I have watched the 12th August meteor shower almost every year since living here because there’s no streetlights for miles and we feel more comfy on a sunbed watching .

I’ve also seen filmed and photographed 2 Moon Eclipses. My best photo’s are of the September 2015 Moon Eclipes of which I am very proud.

Here’s Two photos of the moon Eclipse.

The first is the full Eclipse, showing the real colour of the moon, apparently!

The second, slightly more than a ring, more like Saturn!

I hope you enjoy them as much as I have. :blush:

Oh my goodness ChrisMann!!

I feel very droopy about my photos now, after seeing yours! Yours are like a trip through the galaxy while mine feel like I was stood on an ant hill trying to see the moon around a clump of trees….. :astonished_face::pleading_face::sob::face_with_peeking_eye::thinking:🫪 lol!

I’m just an amateur self taught photography lover.

I wouldn’t be so bold as to ever tried it as a day job!

But I do have some beautiful photos, that I have taken over the years mostly animals, macro flowers and insects. I’m not a portrait/people photographer, it took me about 45 years to notice that I very rarely took photos of people, lol! And if I did, it was always unset, mostly unaware, photos of family and friends.

I very much prefer the natural world :globe_showing_americas:.
