The "good old days"

I couldn't help myself. I nearly pee'ed myself laughing at this one. I kept waiting for the girls to arrive on stage. This is what Irish dancing was really like before Riverdance. Enjoy.

And the boys went to get a sly glimpse of your knickers suis do guna when you do the Bailli Luimni. I just didn't have the ankles for it.

You were one of the lucky ones. I still remember the lads in our dance class, miserable, embarrassed, while the girls swished their ringlets, and got on with it, helped by An Muintoir smacking your calves with a cane if you didn't kick up high enough.

It's a long way from Riverdance! Now I remember why I dodged Irish dance classes.
