You were one of the lucky ones. I still remember the lads in our dance class, miserable, embarrassed, while the girls swished their ringlets, and got on with it, helped by An Muintoir smacking your calves with a cane if you didn't kick up high enough.
It's a long way from Riverdance! Now I remember why I dodged Irish dance classes.
