Complète cloud cover here too. But I know why my son recently got his telescope up and working. Naturally every weekend has since been clouded over and star gazing impossible. Just a few clear week nights to rub in the frustration. Sigh!!!
Yes, it is so annoying when the weathere “spoils” a sighting…
but, never mind… at least your son has a telescope… I only have feeble eyesight and a pair of binoculars… and I still find it wonderfull…

Here’s my offering…only got a phone camera though…the moon was glowing a soft copper to the naked eye but the colour wasn’t picked up by the phone camera…only the copper outline showed on the photos …
