Recently landed here in Paris and got a few packs of strawberries from some of the various fruit and vegetable vendors and holy crap they’re amazing. I’m from a place that grows some of the best fruits and vegetables on the planet and we don’t have strawberries like this. Where are they grown and why are they so good?
Produce is generally labelled with its origin… it is certainly proudly emblazoned in the markets/shops which I use…
So, if you didn’t notice this time around… when you next visit the markets… you can ask the vendors where this, that and the other… actually comes from…
To me the best strawberry is this one, but if you are buying strawberries in October then probably flown in from somewhere far away
