But I am only trying and would love to hear from others with great
places to stay in France.

Good idea...
Christian Dietel has a b and b in Bayonne area.
You may not know him but he was one of the first French chefs with
a Michelin star in London....
The prob with France is that it is loosing it s balance Jane....
such a great place if you are happy to get by and enjoy it
rather than yerning to get rich. I would love for
France to gain back the respect it deserves.....so highlighting
the magic would be wonderful.
Special does not mean only chic it means cosy, homely and
great local dishes made from local produce.....that is something you
have.
Having a ‘name’ to put on the front cover which is well known would be very useful. I know you have contacts, what do you think?
Well I will not lie about things....I have time to offer to something which I enjoy especially in winter.
My fav guides in Uk were restaurant guides because that was my field.
Funny enough the guide which seems to be winning is owned by bankers....MY fav people Jane.
But they would be the ones to make it happen.
So it could be small b and bs or Clamping, Yurting.....Hotels and gites.
I need to formulate the product.
anyone with ideas please come forward.
I am not a nutter or as my fav person on here suggested a "pain in the a"
I am positive and stay focused on being positive about life in France.
Not just for me but for others too.
I have created a great place to stay because we have put our heart and soul into it.
You may have done that too.....or perhaps that is your intention.
On another note I have.....at last found a great accountant near St Emilion who
has charged me 180 euros.....she came here to my property too.
Fairly large offices....
Last year the co I used was rude and about 700 EUROS....
for a few words on the phone and one a couple of short, curt e mails
He is English....and works with a French co....of course...
So boo...
You know ....I have been thinking about moving on.....are but not there...L
But staying put....
It is so beautiful here.
Hi Barbara, sounds a great idea. SFN is a good forum and would include the likes of me and many others who are from further afield such as the US, Canada, NZ and Aus of course. I am sure many ideas will flow from SFN members. Regards Bill
I would certainly be interested in finding out more Barbara.
Having spent years staying and researching all sorts of places to stay and
set up my own I feel that I would enjoying establishing....or even just contributing to
such a guide.....in alliance with a major uk guide group.
Yes we have many....and the best of all of them charges the property owner a small
fortune for inclusion.
So I have ideas. Do you
Could you be interested in some way?
