Blimey @John_Scully , it’s bedtime and you post a 2 hour series. I’ll try and remember tomorrow.
30 mins a go, and if you don’t love them I’ll eat my shorts (as Bart Simpson would say). I’ve only listened to the first two and the were super IMHO. I loved the short stories format as a schoolboy, maybe its time to rediscover it Another benefit is that I could listen to a whole one between pees/charges on the autoroute.
BTW do you know Eric Ambler, brillant jolly good yarn stuff. Not le Carré quality but a fun read.
Yes, I read his books many moons ago.
Depends how fast you drive
And yes to Ambler I rediscovered him a few years ago and binged courtesy of my kindle for a while, maybe I’ll go back again but I have rather a backlog at the moment.
I’m watching you…
Then you could listen to 2 more while the charging takes place.
Not at this rate Robert… barely time for one episode, a coffee and a pee.
Edit: since then I’ve learnt to just go to 80%, even on long trips, it might mean more stops but it’s still faster than squeezing in the last 20%.
Pssst. While your doing that I’m 100km further down the motorway.
We’ve been through all this.
would this be a suitable moment for me to throw in a little drifting… good-food/recipe idea
Yes, I know. I was just being cheeky. Sorry.
Nodding off with wet pants
Actually, I have never thought on this, but I am in fact an ideal candidate for an EV I find driving along a strip of tarmac in procession with other lemmings totally boring, so I stop every 100kms or so just for a change of scenery for 5 mins - ideal for battery charging, yes?
It’s nice not having go near the grubby pumps too.
Or how frequently one pees surely. Thanks to the operation, i I’ve gone from Shakespeare’s sonnets to Proust’s A la recherche du temps perdu. Ironically.
