Yes, basically.
With the increasing use of Artificial Insanity âtheyâ are going to be watching us even more closely.
Will have to stop wearing clothes indoors, that will certainly frighten them away!
Is anyone surprised?
SuperU had no Broccoli today. Not long after returning home I looked at the recommendations on my YouTube page and one of them was a joke about Broccoli
For some the oxilates in broccoli may not be helpful.
Iâll add it to the list of reasons I wonât go near such things.
If they listen to me, theyâll be trying to sell me tourettes medication then
Oxilates, are found in many commonly eaten veg. So should peeps not suffering from health probs that need a special diet be carefully of eating carrots, spinach, rhubarb & onions etc. Nah, I think not just have a balanced diet. Afterall youâd need to eat a lot to become a medical probleme
At the moment our daily salad consists of, but we do mix & match among them, spinach, corn salad, garlic, Winter lettuce leaves, dandelion leaves, young chard stems & leaves, beetroot leaves, onion leaves (from last years under developed bulbs) carrots, celeriac, turnip fleurettes & young turnip seed germinated ina seed tray to pull when 2" tall, young kale & broccoli leaves & fleurettes grated (we do cook them too).
This is all from my garden, so very fresh and full of goodness. Oxalates arenât bad for you; as with everything, theyâre all part of a healthy diet.
We all need oxygen but too much and youâll die⌠I feel some ELO coming on now.
They had no fennel either.
BolloxalatesâŚ
Interesting remark without content or context?
I did say for some, those prone to kidney stones etc and possibly gout sufferers.
Just had this pop up in my email.
Are people just accepting this? It looks like even more of a data heist than Amazonâs listening devices have been accused of. Itâs come in via an auto-update on my Android phone.
Cue half an hour out of my life that I wonât get back, finding out how to disable all its data sucking tits that can be identifed and ensure they are switched off. Most were already switched off, luckily, due to my general care.
Of course this means Iâll now have to.spend another 15-20 mins in future, every time I notice that Google has done another.update. As for some strange reason, Google and things owned by Meta (Facebook/Whstsapp etc) often seem to have settings Iâve disabled, re-enabled by their updates.
Given the below highly disingenuous text in the email received, I wonder whatâs happened to the enforcement of some EU legislation that requires ISTR, that the default for all data collection settings should be âOffâ not âOnâ until the user has given their explicit permission?

Meet Gemini, your new AI assistant
With Gemini as the new primary assistant on your Android device, you can get help writing, learning, creating and getting more done â even with complex tasks. Go hands-free and have a natural, free-flowing voice conversation with Gemini Live1 to brainstorm ideas or talk things out. Learn more about what you can do with Gemini.
How Gemini handles data and works with other services
Gemini uses info from your devices and services to help you
Gemini uses this info to provide more customised and context-aware help. Gemini accesses certain system permissions and data, like call and message logs, contacts (to help you keep in touch) and screen content (to help you act on it).
Gemini works with apps
Gemini can respond with real-time info from other tools, apps and services like Google Keep and YouTube. To allow connected apps to generate helpful responses, Gemini shares some of your info with them. You can manage your apps in your settings.2 Learn more.
Things to know when speaking to Gemini
If âHey Googleâ and Voice Match are on in Settings, you can talk to Gemini hands-free. Gemini may activate when you didnât intend it to, for example if it detects a noise like âHey Googleâ or if you accidentally activate it by touch. If Gemini responds, it will treat your input like a normal activation.
Gemini responses on lock screen
Gemini helps you with answers and actions even when your device is locked. This includes summarising the unread messages that are visible in your notifications. To protect your privacy, Gemini will still require you to unlock for some actions, for example when responses contain your personal content from apps (such as calendar events). You can change how you interact with Gemini on your lock screen settings.
Gemini activity and your choices
When you use Gemini, Google collects your activity, like your chats (including recordings of your Gemini Live interactions), what you share with Gemini (like files, images and screens), product usage information, feedback and info about your location. This data is stored in Activity (if itâs on), reviewed by trained reviewers, and used to improve Google services, including generative AI. You can review and delete your activity and manage how it is used at any time in Gemini Apps activity. Donât enter info that you wouldnât want reviewed or used.
Note: Google Terms apply to Gemini Apps. Google will process your data as described in the Google Privacy Policy and the Gemini Apps Privacy Notice. Gemini can make mistakes, including about people, so double-check it.
Any idea how to remove the b@st@rd thing? Itâs really annoying.
if you believe them
I use Startpage as a search engine which claims it does not track your searches. I also have 2 ad-blockers in place that ensure sponsored ads get removed.
I do not get any communications offering products/services based on my searches.
Iâve got Gemini popping up all the time today since their email was sent, asking me to activate it⌠once Iâve spent more than a certain timeâŚerr actually⌠on Amazon websites in Chrome today. Not run any apps yet. So will be technically interesting to see if theyâve nerfed Android enough for it to pop up in apps as well.
So some indicator of my success in blocking it.
If it gets really annoying Iâll look at disabling its ability to load popups and / or send notifcations, or something similar.
Havenât had time to check whether itâs just trying to track and hoover up personal data at its many collection points. Or whether itâs even worse and confident they were going to succeed in blanket data grabbing anyway, did they integrate somehow into Android such that everything the user loads is now running inside a Gemini shell. Which would be really bad news.
