My wife’s a firm fan of Tim Spector. She follows the Zoe podcast which he’s part of. This year I’ve been inundated with asparagus 
and now my fruit juices and cup of tea with a bikky are under threat.
I may not live any longer, but it’ll seem a lot longer

How can you rely on someone who has the gall to claim “Smoked tofu is surprisingly tasty”?
By reading their peer-reviewed articles.
And anyone who can’t make smoked tofu tasty isn’t a very good cook…
Making it isn’t the problem, it’s the tasty bit that is 
We eat a lot of smoked tofu with pleasure.

Easy because non smoked tofu isnt 
Being serious for a moment, I am tempted to try the banana peel bacon.
Cooked bannana skin lots of times with various flavours and it is fine.
The veg bacon I used to make for other half used a lot of flavouring and was made from vital wheat gluten so not so healthy I learnt later.
I’d be wary of pesticides and fumigation chemicals in the case of banana skin but otherwise it seems a very good idea
Friends cooked us this at the weekend - it was delicious.
