Tineco floor cleaner

There’s a sister who’s a research pharmacist, so everything around her is super clean…

Just as an aside and not knowing any of your personal details, would getting in a “home help” (for want of a better term) for a couple hours a week be an alternative? They probably will never keep everything as spic and span as you would but it would give you some relief.

Now that could also be an option :+1: I think I’ve kicked the floor cleaner into touch as trying to reduce the amount of ‘kit’ I’ve got versus adding to, so finding someone willing to assist could well be the ideal actually, plus helps someone locally versus the Chinese commercial monster

Time to relax a bit @letsmile after lives lived of trying to sort everything out, kicking back a bit is the order of the day. :slightly_smiling_face:

If you haven’t heard of “service à la personne” (SAP) and the 50% credit impôt you get for employing someone to carry out any of the SAP tasks then look into it. Several threads on this and employing people via CESU to do the actual work which is very easy and then all the pesky admin is done for you.

A big decent door mat inside and out plus a place to put outdoor boots or shoes then changing to indoor footwear would surely help reduce the dirt trodden into house??

:joy::sweat_smile:. Good theory, but come a certain point the mat no longer traps dirt so just another thing to clean! I go for shoes off in the house, which doesn’t quite work for the dog. But we keep his paws clean of hair so that brings much less in.

Door mats help but maybe you’ll think me a goody goody….. I had 3 dogs and they waited for me to wipe their paws so they could then go into main part of house .

I learnt quickly that doing this for a few minutes saved me so much time and work from not cleaning up from them.

The dog hairs were easy, compared to cleaning away those muddy wet paw prints , with a good vacuum

I can’t remember what indoor mat I used to have but I’ve read that the OLANLY Dog Door Mats are good for absorbing moisture and not all but some dirt.

Thankfully no, unfortunately that’s only because of regular expensive visits to the toilettage Just a tiny 3kg dog, but it takes two hours! Next appointment’s a week tomorrow.

My daughter has a muddy paw cleaner for her two. Basically a tube you stick the paw into and a soft towel inside swivels gently to remove any mud and dirt. The minpin/sausage hates it but the huge lab/coon hound loves it but is terrified at first until its switched on.
