Today is International Translation Day. I suppose I should have written that in several languages. Maybe in your replies you could do so. I can only speak English.
Anyway, International Translation Day, which is today, is a relatively recent phenomenon, though its roots go far back. Founded in 1953 by International Federation of Translators, it is in fact the feast day of St. Jerome, the patron saint of translators.
I bet, not a lot of you knew that. I didn't until about five minutes ago.
