Torn 10 euro - exchange at a banque?

Hi,

I have a torn 10 euro note. I can’t use it at stores. I want to exchange it for a non-torn one. Has anyone gone to their banque for this sort of thing?

Cheers

Never had to do it myself but it seems unfortunately that you can’t just do it at any old bank… the Banque de France website has a list of offices for the Banque de France and La Poste that can exchange it:

How badly damaged is the note? Can it be stuck together with sellotape?

Are you known at your local LaPoste ???

It’s got a tiny chunk missing, and one bit at the end is sellotaped.

Thanks

I will ask! I think I am.

Cheers!

take your passport, in case there is a form to complete and you need to prove identity.
Our postmistress has known me for years, but still wants to be able to “tick that box” truthfully…
