Tragic news for Gentleman's

Production of our relish ended yesterday.

But I found a recipe (but I’m a bit surprised by the inclusion of lemon): Gentleman's Relish - Larder Love

Now, this IS something to lament above all else…

First, gentlemen only clubs and now patum peperium. Sad times

I think a quick call is in order to F&M to buy up what they have left…

Thanks for the news!

Noooooo noooo how will I cope I’ve still got a pot in my war cupboard but it’s the last.:tired_face::sob::sob::sob::sob:
I shall just have to make it. They’d better not stop making chocolate bath olivers though.

You were one of the two people who I thought would be a fan.

My father loved Patum Peperium and I still have an unopened pot in my war cupboard (I dislike it). He died in 1978 so I doubt anyone wants it!

Slightly OT but you must have been very young when that happened. Sorry for that.

Totall;y agree with you there Vero. Chocolate bath olivers, the civilised person’s way of committing very very slow suicide by chocolate, so to speak

I thought that was normal BOs, the non chock biscuits which are made by a different company ?

We are very partial to Petit Écolier Noire made by LU .. yummy with our afternoon cuppa.

Which are ok, but only 48% chocolate rather than the BO 70%.

 I think it depends on the translation/presentation of the ingredients/recipe for either biscuit.

PE Noir are perfect for us, plus they are a French product… for us it’s win, win. :+1:
