Have been battling online to get a quote for travel insurance in Europe, that would cover an over 65 who has recently has treatment for cancer. Done almost hundred quotes and can’t find anyone willing to provide insurance. Has anyone found an insurer that may be able to help.
I live in France and have a policy with Staysure for virtually worldwide travel - I had to declare my cancer and it raised the premium, but not by much.
I tried Staysure for a policy because I have asthma.
They based the premium on how many drugs I was taking, not whether I was seeing a consultant and I was not asked if I had ever been admitted to hospital for my condition. The answer is never.
My asthma is under control.
The premium was horrific and I was not impressed.
