Two bitches

Thanks for your reply! Do share some pictures of your pack if you can. Dogs and cats lift the spirits at the best of times and certainly now

Jack Russell? They look quite leggy? Lovely picture :sunny:

No, bigger than that. Her first 3 years are an unknown, but she came with the name “Foxine” and a docked tail, so maybe a fox terrier cross.
Apart from being able to fly, she has a magical ability to come up smelling of roses from the dirtiest doggy activities.
We took her on after one animal sanctuary told us we were too old! So it is a point of honour to survive another nine years or so, just to prove them wrong.

Now in double confinement with Lexi as she leaped onto a hacked off branch in the forest. A terrifying sight. Fortunately it did not pierce her intestines but she needed a general anaesthetic and stitches.

She needs to wear the cone of shame for 12 days. Fingers crossed the wound heals well. No more off lead forest walks for us. Forestry here is performed in a broad strokes kind of way and the woodland can end up looking like a Paul Nash painting.

Will have to be sprinting in open fields when she is allowed to run again.

Poor girl, give it a couple more weeks before getting her a companion. I hope she has a speedy recovery.
