UK State Pension un-retiring & re-retiring

I’ve only just found out that it is possible to ‘pause’ taking one’s UK state pension and resume later.

This may be of interest to those who might have resumed employment or inherited since initially drawing their pension.

Yes I saw that and briefly debated going down that route as I am already drawing my state pension … it depends if you are earning enough to make deferring financially viable - with self-employment some months I am, some months I’m not (e.g. December)!

And you can only “unretire and re-retire” once apparently.

What I’m doing at the moment is taking the state pension but chucking some money into my private pension when I have surplus dosh, as a compromise.
