I’m not touching it and actually did not say anything when I did that one time as it hung up very quickly just like the three rings only it does every time. There was a Chinese takeout in Brest I used to drive by on way to visit my kids called City Wok. We rang them once to order food and the man said Shi**y Wok or that is what it sounded like and we have laughed about it ever since. I could say that next time and nothing else.

Yes, pre-Saracroche, used to get calls between midday and 1pm and from 7pm onwards but you could see the number on the screen so knew it was cold calling etc.

Has anyone else had a sudden burst of telemarketing calls from the usual 0568 and 0424 in the last week?
I went from zero in a couple of months to 2-3 a day.

Yes, since Friday from either No Caller ID, 0948 or 0377.
None on the landline but as many as 10 on my mobile in an afternoon.
Just one last Wednesday 0377
Nothing at all fingers crossed

Not using Saracroche app then?
Peace has reigned since I installed it. It even warned me I was dialling a spam number when I accidentaĺly miskeyed
Mine are 95% landline and all enjoy hearing the default answerphone greeting.
You could forward your landline to your mobile after you’ve put Saracroche on the mobile?

I have the Orange Phone app on my mobile which does a decent job of warning me of incoming telemarketing calls and the landline is only there nowadays for outgoing calls to the UK.
Does Saracroche block No Caller ID numbers? That’s really the only time the mobile rings. The rest are blocked by Number Shield (for iPhone).
I don’t want an app that blocks anything not in my Contacts.
It blocks anything in its database of about 15,000 scam numbers.
Haven’t seen it block any no-caller-id numbers, unsure if that’s one of the options but I also wouldn’t block them.

All I can say is I donated 5 euros to the app writer immediately I saw how good it is - and I’m “tight”

I installed it and it blocked the OTP’s from my bank. I’ve gone back to Truecaller, which works well, but I’ve never had many spam calls.
