That varies so much anyway between brands and cuts. I read somewhere that a horrifyingly huge % of women are wearing the wrong size at any moment simply because there aren’t enough good fitters about. I went to Rigby and Peller a couple of times ages ago and came out with bras of differing sizes according to the labels but which all fitted perfectly.
My local specialist shop is great too and I came away with a couple of bras that fitted well. The prices were a little on the eye-watering side so I would like to be able to find toning plain knickers that are not in packs of 3 or 6 all different!
Because of the back op, lots of things have changed so clothes do need to be different too - i’m 5 or 6 centimetres shorter for one thing…
5 or 6 cm!! And you weren’t a giantess to start with as I recall…
My sister swears by them, but I’m waiting until she offers to treat me
I found this Why Do We Say “A Pair of Pants”? | Britannica but it does no more than cast doubt on the one-per-leg theory.
I suppose we feel uncomfortable using what looks like a plural noun with a singular article and so prefer to insert an extra word?
Though an Americanism which is catching on quickly in the UK is to call the item “a trouser” or “a pant”.
I loved Rigby & Peller!
I adore lingerie. I tend to invest alot of money in beautiful good quality bras. With a touch of black in them. So I can pair them with plain black panties bought from the Well factory shop in Le Vigan (Cévennes).
That’s sort of what I was trying for! Sounds like you have some good shops in your area!
Just looked at their website and have decided that perhaps the prices in my local specialist shop weren’t quite as bad as I thought they were ![]()
I prefer anything but white - all colours gratefully received. But the only knickers I have which don’t make me itchy are a pack, of 5 I think, that I found in Lidl. I’ve decided I must be allergic to the elastic in all the others except for those Lidl ones. They are minimal to say the least and I wouldn’t like to wear them out and about, even to see the doctor but they are comfy and non-itchy. I’m still trying to find some similar but more robust !
Gosh! I didn’t realise you could order knickers and trousers for delivery from Lidl. I’m now ordered some bits and pieces to see what I get…
La Perla or Maison Close does it for me…,

. We’re talking about being cosseted ourselves here, not itchy uncomfortable synthetic materials that might please others…
If it’s not going to stay on long why not buy cheap? Tati does stuff.
Or spangles that cause nickel rash! ![]()
That includes the fastening on my M & S jeans.
I have to cover the back with a double piece of material to stop myself coming out in a rash.
Hmmmmmm. Spangles

Knickers from M &S and bras from Royce, specialist mastectomy bras.

Just come back from flying visit to UK. I did find packs of three in plain black. , white or nude.
I like the no VPL in high rise waist they do an opal ( very pale nude) another beige , and blsck. No idea why but dont do them in white.
more is the shame.
I see they have a french website / shop.
They do indeed but there’s nothing like that on the website (very limited number of lines) What surprised me was that the UK version of the site, which is very much more comprehensive, also didn’t have packs of single colours. Perhaps I shall have to commission a friend to buy some for me and bring them over ![]()
Xah ok as these sre the ines i get flexi fit , though it doesn’t mention the no vol lol
Lol excuse photos guys , look away ![]()
